Q-tips! Who knew they could be used for so many things?!

I love the way this blog is going — great tips for common household products. I can’t wait for the next one!

@ Jamie – I’m glad you’re having fun reading because I’m certainly having fun writing. Thanks for the comment!

  • Jill

    Agreed, great job Rebecca!
I don’t see mentioned in the list cleaning ears! I think my special uses while cleaning and as beauty are variations of the above. My only additional would be keeping a door closed (wedge between door an iamb) and cleaning the rubber folds on a fridge.

  • Ear

You don’t see it on the list because you should use Q-Tips in the ears!! That makes me cry. :) Anything bit in the ears, people…..

  • Ear

That is meant to say ‘shouldn’t’. It is still early. Can’t type. Anything but in the ears, people…..

@ Jill – Thanks! I love the idea about the refrigerator – that’s one of the hardest areas for me to keep clean in my place : )

@ Ear – You’re not supposed to put it in the ears? Would love to know why…

Another use for Q-tips came from a little girl maybe 4 years old: she told me her mommy uses them to pull snot out of her baby brother’s nose!!

I make my own cards, and when I glue the inner part to the outer part, I find the Q-tip applies just the needed amount of glue to attach the two sections of the card together…..(started this because I ruined the applicator on the glue bottle!) Again!
