7 Steps to a Squeaky-Clean Bathroom:
1. Throw away expired cosmetics, beauty products and medications in doubled-up trash bags. You’ll want to double up to prevent kids and pets from getting into the old meds. Don’t flush anything down the toilet that can be hazardous to water supplies.
2. Wash mirrors and inside of windows with Windex.
3. Wipe down your countertops and cabinets with an all-purpose cleaner like Lysol.
4. Clean the toilet with Lysol Toilet Cleaner and a toilet brush on the bowl interior and Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Bathroom Wipes on the exterior.
5. Scrub the shower and tub with Method Tub + Tile soap scum and stain remover.
6. Keep up the sink and shower drains with Drano Build Up Remover.
7. Vacuum and then mop floors with Swiffer Wet-Jet multi-surface cleaner.
Is the bathroom the hardest area for you to clean? What are your secrets to making the job easier?

It’s definitely the area I clean the most often (though I might be considered a bit of a germophobe). Anything that automatically cleans is a great place to start. My favorites are the Bleach Toilet Tabs that you drop in the tank.
@ Emily – Thanks for sharing! I’ve never actually tried the toilet tabs, it sounds like a good idea. I’ll try one out in my next Alice order – do you have a brand you like?
I like the Clorox clear ones…they don’t turn the water blue. And they do a GREAT job! Here’s the link: http://www.clorox.com/products/overview.php?prod_id=atbc
i love this series! One thing i do to clean my shower good is i have a little broom with hard bristles that i use to scrub the walls and tub. Its probably overkill, but i feel like it gets cleaner. And I clean almost everything with wipes so i can toss them. i’ve never tried the scrubbing bubbles, but i love the flushable method eucalyptus wipes. they smell so clean. Also, remember to wash your shower curtain/liner!!
@ Jill – Thank you! That’s a great tip for the shower – I always use daily shower cleaner for the shower and the liner too so it’s not as difficult to scrub down every week or during Spring Cleaning. Appreciate your comment : )
Why are most bathroom cleaning supplies blue? That’s really funny.
I really hope you will make it easy to buy Spring Cleaning packages once Alice.com opens up. I wouldn’t have all these supplies in my house, so a neat little “Buy All Cleaning Supplies for Your Bathroom” would be pretty nifty.
But, I’m sure you’ve already thought of that. ;-)
