Dropps is a new kind of laundry detergent that I love because most people over-estimate how much detergent they use and subsequently use far too much. Dropps is an innovative liquid detergent that makes laundry “laundr-easy.”
Its super-concentrated formula fits in tiny, pre-measured “toss-and-go” dissolvable pacs. All you have to do is drop the pacs into your washer, pile your clothes on top, and it dissolves completely to release the detergent once the pacs hit water.
By removing the harsh chemicals and water, Dropps also removed the need for bulky plastic bottles and the energy that comes in making and shipping them. Gotta love that bonus. Check Dropps out on Alice here.
What do you think? Would you try this product? Would it make laundry day easier?

You got a pretty nifty site going on here. I think I’ll join and try it out.
Why not take it to the next step with Purex Complete 3-in-1. It not only provides the detergent, but also softener and it goes into the dryer and performs as an anti-static sheet. It’s lighter and even easier to ship.
@ Jenny – Thanks! Looking forward to your thoughts on it.
@ Ether – Purex is a cool product too, we featured it a couple weeks ago. :)
Would be great if you are taking a trip or going camping (most campgrounds have laundry facilities) rather than lugging around the bottle of detergent.
Also, for those pesky trips to the laundromat.
Another vote for Purex 3-in-1. Love the product. Why isn’t it on alice.com?
@ Dawn – Definitely! I love that Dropps would be much easier to store at home too. I have a small place where my laundry room is more of a closet, so it’d be a perfect space saver.
@ Jakob – We’re working on it! :)
Yay!
I would also like to see some method products. These Dropps would be a good thing to try.
@ Trena – We do carry Method products. Check them out on the site here. Thanks for the comment!
I’ve used a similar product before and had problems with the packets dissolving properly in a front loader. Also, if humidity gets in the bag, the packets get stuck together.
I’d really like to see Tide HE powder and Cheer HE liquid, my two favorite detergents. Larger bottles of Downy Unscented would be appreciated, too!
I have tried Dropps and really love them. If only they were as cheap as the Arm & Hammer detergent! I always go back and forth between whether the cost outweighs the benefit to the environment, especially since we already save $$ by air-drying most of our laundry.
Dropps also makes great baby “detergent” as well. We love them because they’re great for folks with sensitive skin. And no pouring.
Yes, I like to not have to pour. It’s a luxury I’m happy to pay extra for.
My aunt love Purex and gave me a sheet to sample. One more vote for Purex. Please offer it and you’ll gain my aunt as a customer.
is Dropps for use in High Efficiency machines too?
@ Jenn – It sure is. See the “HE” on the package?
I was reading all the Dropps comments they sound wonderful. I have two questions, 1. do they dissolve well in cold water? I use cold water a lot. 2. Are they free of perfumes and dyes? My husband is very sensitive to chemical smells. If they do and they are, then count me in.
