Giveaway: Dropps – A New Kind of Laundry Detergent!

by Rebecca on July 15   ///   84 Comments

When we featured Dropps on the Alice blog a few weeks ago, we got a great response both in the comments and on Facebook. So we’re especially excited for this week’s giveaway of Dropps Variety Packs to five different winners.

Dropps

Since many people over-estimate how much detergent they use (and subsequently use far too much), Dropps is a new innovative liquid detergent that makes laundry “laundr-easy.”

Its super-concentrated formula fits in tiny, pre-measured “toss-and-go” dissolvable pacs. All you have to do is drop the pacs into your washer, pile your clothes on top, and it dissolves completely to release the detergent once the pacs hit water.

By removing the harsh chemicals and water, Dropps also removed the need for bulky plastic bottles and the energy that comes in making and shipping them.

Five winners will receive a Dropps Variety Pack that includes:

(1) Dropps Laundry Pac Fresh Scent (20 loads)

(1) Dropps Laundry Pac Gentle for Babies (20 loads)

(1) Dropps Laundry Pac Scent + Dye Free (20 loads)

Just tell us…

What do you like about Dropps laundry detergent?

I like the idea of Drops because I usually don’t measure. So to have something you just drop in that is all pre measured would probably save me money and my clothes would come out better.

i love how convenient dropps are; so easy to store the bags, and there’s less packaging to worry about tossing later!

  • Chris

I love the idea of just dropping it in. No messy detergent to deal with. Also, it would be easier for my daughter to do. Less messy!

I love Dropps because they DROP right into your laundry -no fuss, no mess. They definitely save on storage space too. Such an appropriate product for a site like Alice which makes my life so much easier. Shopping for household products is: no fuss, no trouble, free shipping. What could be better?

let me be the first to say that using dropps may result in:

    1) decreased storage space for those huge plastic laundry detergent bottles we buy at costco/sams/bj’s.
    2) reduced amount of wasted plastic packaging
    3) better accuracy in the amount of detergent you use
    4) pre-measured=math is hard sometimes and no math required for dropps
    5) the ability to teach your 4 year old how to do laundry

  • http://www.facebook.com/KatieDerendingerPederson Katie

I like Dropps because they’re pre-measured, use less packaging and cost effective. Also, for people that have to lug laundry to a laundromat, they’re extremely convenient! You can just take however many Dropps you need, just throw them in the bag with your quarters (or your jacket pocket!). Dropps make laundry day just a bit easier!

  • Theresa

I’m excited about Dropps because I know I’m not wasting money by using too much detergent. Plus, these are much easier to carry up and down the steps to my apartment laundry room!! No more lugging around a giant bottle of detergent!

  • http://www.CompareRewards.com Becky

This is a great concept for me, personally, because of its compact size. I prefer liquid detergent, but I hate how heavy and cumbersome the jug is! Plus, it’s messy if you’re not careful. Seems like a really cool idea, and I’d love to try it out.

I hate wasting both money on too much soap and re-washing items that didn’t rinse all the way out because I had used too much soap (which coats more $!). Dropps sounds like a very good idea – they have the same thing for dishwashers, why not laundry detergent? Pre-measured, pre-packaged, easier to carry with you than the large bulky continers of soap, why haven’t they come out with this sooner!

  • Nadia

    I love Dropps for many reasons….here is a few…

    1) NO MESS!! the convienent little packets are just tossed into the washer…no chance of spilling the liquid.
    2) ORGANIC – what could be better than that? all natural means better for you and better for the environment
    3) SOFTER CLOTHES – when I use them my clothes are definitely softer and fluffier when they come out of the dryer compared to traditional liquid detergents
    4) UBBER CONCENTRATED – means more value for your money. You are not paying for all the extra water and fillers like you do with traditional liquid detergents

  • Sarah

I like using liquid, but don’t have the room for our usual Costco size in the laundry room of our new house, so have had to go back to powder (small container in laundry closet, Costco container in the garage). Love the idea of the pre-measured pouches in a small, easy-to-store bag!

  • Courtney

For one, the fact that it’s premeasured is awesome. My 3 year old helps me with the laundry and usually spills the liquid detergent while putting it in the washer! These would give her no problem and would probably be funner for her to do too. This formula is not only safer for the environment and your baby, but they also are better for your clothes than adding fabric softener.

Living in the city that never sleeps I’ve never driven and use public transpo and ‘leg power’ everywhere. I absolutely positively hate carrying the following two things home: Laundry detergent and Soda. Not only is the walk home with them long and unbearable, lugging them both up five flights of stairs (no elevator building!) is my workout for the week, LOL. I LOVE that this would save me from having my poor arms fall off from sheer exhaustion caused by the strain and exertion of carrying those heavy bottles home!

Dropps looks like such a great idea! I am certain that I use too much laundry detergent. With the concentrated detergents (like All Small & Mighty), I always feel like the measured amount just isn’t enough…even though I’m sure it is. So I Find myself pouring a little more into the washer.

    Thanks!
