  • Rebecca

I’m a huge fan of Woolite for the delicate cycle. It makes my clothes last longer and look better- and since I just use a little in my front-loading washer, and just for one load per week, it’s well worth a little extra money.

  • http://julieisgoinggoinggone.blogspot.com Julie Mead

    I LOVE dropps laundry detergent!

  • http://auntrene.blogspot.com Maureen Graham

I love Downey Fabric Softener..I especially like the Lavender scented to use on bed sheets…

  • Rita

Right now my favorite laundry product is the Bounce bar. My clothes smell really nice for a long time.

  • Janna

My all time favorite product is Melaleuca MelaPower detergent. Expensive, but so worth it!

  • http://www.600cameronstreet.com tammy wood

I aleays use tide and downy. Its what my mom used and the scents always mean ‘clean’ laundry day to me.

  • http://na Danielle

I love the stain remover Zout and I always use downy. The smell is amazing and the softness of our clothes is perfect!!

  • Kathy Austin

I love Tide, grew up using it, it works very well and I see no reason to change after 40 odd years. I also like Shout, seems to get out even the worst stains and OxyClean for the few that manage to stick around! For softening, I ADORE the Bounce bar that sticks in the dryer…soooo convenient and it makes sure I don’t forget to add softener. If only Snuggle would come out with one, I’d be in heaven!

  • Erica

My favorite is the Tide Free. I like having good cleaning power without chemical perfumes.

  • Sara C.

I love Method Squeaky Green Laundry Detergent! It’s biodegradable, plant-based, phosphate-free, dye-free and hypo-allergenic, which means it’s great for my daughters’ sensitive skin! Works great, smells great – what more could you ask for?

  • Sarah

I love love LOVE Mrs. Meyers Clean Day Laundry Detergent in Basil Scent! The dryer sheets are pretty great too!!

  • http://nursedawn46@hotmail.com Dawn Williamson

I LOVE ERA laundry detergent. As a nurse, I am frequently getting spills on my uniforms from one thing or another. I just put a little ERA on the spot, let it soak in for a minute or so, then put the rest in the wash. When I take my clothes out of the washer, the spots are gone! PLUS I can use the “sensitive” formula and it works just as well. My granddaughter is VERY sensitive to soaps and she doesn’t break out from this detergent!

  • Sharon

My favorite detergent is whatever is on sale and has a coupon. I love the clean I get from Borax!

  • Joan

Since getting HD washer & dryer, using scented fabric softener (first time ever). I prefer Arm & Hammer but Tide’s been a better price recently.

  • Christy

I love the Bounce Dryer Bars.

  • villagebeagle

Arm and Hammer Super Washing Soda

  • Diane

Tide is #1! I’ve tried other detergents but Tide works the best.

  • Alana

Tide, definitely. It does the best job.

  • Tiffany

I have a very new favorite and it smells amazing for a long time. It’s Shaklee’s “Fresh Laundry Concentrate” Its suds-controlling formula is kind on your washer. Its triple-concentrated formula saves money, water, energy, and space in your laundry room. Its formula is kind on your skin. Plus it’s a two-in-one cleaner: an incomparable pre-spotter and laundry cleaner.
    * Superconcentrated – one small bottle cleans 32 medium loads, the same number as a 100 ounce bottle of conventional liquid laundry detergent.
    * Super performance in a small package – enzyme-activated natural cleaners deliver a powerful clean that rivals leading brands.
    * Two-in-1 product – outperforms Shout® and Spray n’ Wash® in stain removal. Outperforms All® Small and Mighty® as laundry detergent for removal of dirt and stains.*
    * Small bottle is easy to carry, pour, and store – small size fits on your shelf.
    * Extra natural enzyme power boosters for color-safe whitening.
    * Formulated to help prevent dyes in colored clothes from transferring from one garment to another during wash.
    * Natural
    * Biodegradable
    * Concentrated
    * Hypoallergenic
    * No phosphates
    * No chlorine

  • Elisabeth

My favorite laundry/stain removal item is the Tide to-go stick. It has saved my childs clothes many times!

  • Karen N

    I like Tide!

  • Shelly

My favorite detergent is Tide (brings back memories of Mom) but since I can’t afford it I use Arm & Hammer with the Oxy Clean in it. I also use Borax on occasion to clean and freshen the Washer.

  • Darwyn

I love downey and Gain detergent!

  • http://thatslifev2.blogspot.com inthefastlane

Zout! I also love the Method products.

  • Chris T.

  • Erin Dolgner

I love the Purex 3-in-1 sheets – no mess, no thinking!

  • http://melblackrose.blogspot.com/ Mel H

I have to say Lye soap. It works magic on the mystery stains that appear on my kid’s clothes. And it allows her to help out – she actually likes to do the laundry when we have to “treat” the stains.

  • http://www.greeneggsandcam.com Cameron

My personal favorite is Tide Coldwater Liquid Laundry Detergent. It’s saves energy, thus saving our world!

I Love to use the apple Gain scent. Its even better when I use the fabric shhets in the dryer!

  • tati

There have been different products over the years that have been my favorites, but my current favorite is Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator. The stuff works like a charm and is made from corn. It has a pleasant smell, and even helped remove nicotine odors (when hubby still smoked)

  • janay oliver

I like sun products & rit dye!

  • Maria

I love Tide with Downy – makes my clothes so clean and soft. And they smell amazing!

  • Sherry Chinn

Because of my sensitive skin, I use all free and clear, but I keep a huge jug of shout it out by my washer for my son’s oops on his school uniforms and our lovely orange clay soil that tends to get on all of clothing.

  • Glenda

Have been a Tide user for years, even when we had our wringer-washer, had to have our Tide. We like regular Tide powder and Tide powder with bleach for towels. Same goes with Downy, grew up with it too! Gotta be regular Downy, in the box, not with that frebreeze added., just good ole’ Downy in the box.

  • Kay

I just started using Shout Advanced. It has been a great help getting out food grease stains that I missed the first time through the washer and dryer.

  • Cindy

HE products & Unscented: Love Tide & Downy & Shout Advance for getting out stains. Now, just wish there was something for those yellow underarm stains in men’s white T’s.

  • Michelle

I really like the smell and softness of Purex Fabric Softner in Mountain breeze.

  • Charleen

I LOVE Tide with Downy and Downy dryer sheets!!!

  • Ashley

I have to have Oxiclean with 3 little boys running around. I am also loving Vaska Herbatergent for everyday use! I also use SoapNuts for my cloth diapers and Wool Dryer Balls for my dryer!

  • Jacki

As much as I like Tide and Shout I have to say regular Bounce is my favorite laundry care product. It gets rid of static electricity, especially important in winter, and leaves a very light fresh scent on the clothes. I love the way it makes my sheets smell.

  • Jennifer Linscott

I like Tide and Era and I use Walmart brand dryer sheets. Oxiclean gets my vote for the best stain remover.

  • Andrew

Tide Coldwater. Hands down. I don’t have to heat up the water so it saves me money!

  • April

Rockin’ Green laundry detergent that I found on Alice is my new favorite. I get Motley Clean and Orangevana. I also use the green dryer Balls that Alice sells and find them to be awesome and Gain regular dryer sheets (Alice doesn’t sell these yet, very sad.)

  • http://Alice Renata

I was always a fan of Tide but Gain….is gaining on it!

  • Craig

I like the Arm & Hammer Essentials.

  • Kim

My favorite laundry detergents are Ecos and Seventh Generation. I like Seventh Generation Lavender fabric softener very much as well.

  • Alyssa

I can’t live without my Shout Color Catcher. That product has saved my laundry from bleeding jeans and the errant colored sock in a load of whites SO many times I can’t even count. I won’t do laundry without it.

  • Heather

Shout Color Catcher is AMAZING. It’s one of the best laundry products out there. I also love the scent of Cheer detergent. Makes me happy:)

  • shelley

Definitely Tide! It’s been the family favourite for generations.

  • Michelle

Borax. It’s great at softening my clothes, naturally and is a great stain-remover!

I love the spray shout for treating stains. I also love the homemade soap that my husband makes. It cleans so good. I know what is in it and best of all it is so much cheaper than all the store bought cleaners.

  • Leslie Pressey

    Tide and downy April fresh…always!!!

  • Tisha Mondy

My favorite is All. I LOVE Bounce softener sheets. They make my clothes smell sooooooo good.

  • Mary Helen

My favorite is classic Gain liquid detergent! I LOVE the smell! I also throw in Oxi Clean into most of my loads.

  • U Jane

It has to be a tie between Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day unscented and Lemon Verbena and Gain Ultra Spring Lavender Laundry Detergent. Really depends on my mood on laundry day.

  • Amanda

Absolutely LOVE the White Brite product! Heard about it from a friend and couldn’t find it anywhere. Found it on Alice and started using it. I’m hooked! That stuff gets clothes WHITE!

  • Katie

It’s a tie between Tide Stain Pen and Oxyclean! I haven’t had a stain/odor yet that soaking the garment in Oxyclean for a day or so hasn’t eliminated. I have Tide Pens all over the place, and use them often. The way it erases stains is like magic!

  • Cindy

    Shout color catcher sheets.

  • Evelyn

my absolute fav and only product i use is tide.. my mom used it and now i use it.. oh and bounce sheets..

  • Tammy Wilmarth

I love Suavital liquid fabric softener. Makes everything smell so clean and fresh.

  • http://www.ineedaplaydate.blogspost.com Mary Johnson

Dynamo! I ordered it from Alice because of the price and can’t say I will ever use anything but that now… I could be swayed though :) But the smell is clean and fresh, cleans the messes that the baby makes and the cost! Can’t be beat. The only downside (sort of) I have only seen it on Alice. I know my mom bought it when we were younger but I can not find it now in the store.

  • Ann C

I love Shout/Resolve for stains. My son works in fast food, so there is always a lot of grease to remove. I also like Tide and Bounce for all general laundry purposes.

  • Jean Vincenzo

I love Tide and Downy Simple Pleasures Lavender Serenity. But I have to say, in this economy, Gain Spring Lavender detergent and softener, and Arm and Hammer plus OxiClean are a real boost for the budget. Hot water for my sheets and towels, cold for all dark colors. Everything else gets warm water clean! I love to hang all my clothes out…summer or winter, as long as the sun is shining, the air is fresh, and the winds are blowing gently.

  • http://at&t Alice Halldorson

I love the Tide (powder) and April Fresh Downy combo. My Mom always used it when I was growing up and my clothes, towels, bedding always smelled so fresh! I brings me back to that carefree time!!

  • http://graphicorchard.com Sandra

  • April

I would have to say liquid gain is my favorite.

  • Nathan

My favorite detergent is Cheer–the original. I do use Tide with Bleach frequently, though, because Consumer Reports recommends it so highly. I’ve recently learned of a new product, called Vaska, but I have not tried it yet.

  • Beth

I love the Arm and Hammer Oxy, not only does the job, but smells great while doing it, and my baby can use it too!

  • Kevin Bell

I am so loving the Bounce Dryer Bar these days! I had my doubts but figured I’d give it a try. I hooked it up in the dryer, put a load of wet clothes in, and they came out fresh smelling and soft! It still feels weird, though, not putting fabric softener in the wash!

  • Teri

I love GAIN, but have started using Arm & Hammer, as I have found that it works well but is considerably less expensive than most of the other “brand” products! So, I am getting a product that performs well, but is affordable. I would really like to use the “greenest” products, but I always have to keep cost in mind as well!

  • Daniel

I’ve always grown up on Tide. Tide, Tide, Tide! My fave!

I think I’m going to have to go with the saving grace of my collection, Nature’s Miracle odor and stain remover. We have two dogs, and I’m a chronic shirt stainer. This product has been used on nearly every object in my house, its not just a laundry saver. I have to sing its praises!!! La La La…

I LOVE Bounce because it has so many other uses than just fabric softener…its also great to remove soap scum from your tubs/showers! I actually have a very long list of its other uses and refer to it quite often!

  • Kelly

Tide. I do cloth diapers and Tide is the only thing that gets them clean, plus I love the way it treats the rest of my clothes.

  • Shruti

  • Kelly D

I’ve always loved Downy Fabric Softeners. They make my clothes feel soft and smell yummy through out the day!

  • Michelle

White Vinegar. It removes soap residue, softens clothes, controls static cling and it is very cheap

  • Marthalynn

I just love Downy liquid fabric softener. My whole family enjoys the soft scent and I feel good knowing they smell fresh.

  • Emery

I love Shout for getting stains out (especially with the built in scrubber right on the container!) With 5 kids and a tiny budget, it’s worth the few extra dollars to extend the life of the kids’ clothes so much longer!

  • Amber

Bounce Dryer Bars are my recent favorite! Clothes come out soft and smelling yummy.

  • Angie Center

I love Arm and Hammer products. I love that they have the baking soda in the detergent which makes my clothes smell good.

  • Karen

Purex Free & Clear and Downy unscented fabric softener. I can’t use scented products and these work great! Also, Purex is a much better price than Cheer or All free products.

  • Michelle

Has to be Bounce dryer sheets. They smell so good! One time I accidentally left a box in my car but was so addicted to the smell that I left it there until I absolutely had to bring the box inside to use.

  • Eve Chase

I grew up with Tide and have always been loyal until recently when my budget got pinched. I still love Tide but have found a more reasonably priced product which is as good on my average wash. So I am currently using Xtra which is a condensed liquid and the aroma I like is “Tropical Passion.” The name sends me to the South Seas more than the smell but the bouquet is very nice and subtle. I would recommend it for those with a pinched budget like myself.

  • http://pjmoneymaker.blogspot.com Anna

At the moment, I really like Rockin’ Green laundry detergent. It is all natural with no chemicals.

  • Jane

  • HY Brock

I just discovered Borax. It also has a multitude of other uses besdies laundry which makes it a great all-in-one product.

  • Susanne Troop

Shout helps a lot with two active children!

  • Leslie Ayres

I have to use unscented everything, :=( But I like All and Bounce!

  • Deb Walin

Gain laundry detergent has been my favorite product for years. It gets our clothes nice and clean and the smell is great. They keep adding products to the line, fabric softener, now dish detergent and a whole line of Febreze products – I love it!!

  • Patti S

I love the Shout stain removers, they work the best, and I’ve tried alot. With 2 boys and a little tomboy we have a lot of stains come through the laundry room, and they all think I’m magic, because I can get any stain out they throw at me. (I think theres a wicked little plan to see who can give me the worst stain) I also love Tide liquid products because of the smell, but thats a special treat, because they seem to be kind of spendy on a fixed budget. Anything that smells fresh and clean I absolutely love :)

  • Becky

    I love OxiClean.

  • Gwen Connolly

TIDE is my all-time favorite Laundry Detergent….NEVER FAILS ME!

  • amber

I buy a lot of store brand items except when it comes to laundry. Downy is my favorite softener. It’s scent lasts better than others and it smells the best. clothes are very important and need to be taken of unless one likes to buy clothes often. We have 3 kids and cannot keep up with their growth spurts so I like to take care of clothes and pass them down. To keep clothes free of stains I’ve found that oxiclean stain remover works great!

  • Melissa

I love the bounce dryer bar – no more forgetting to put the dryer sheet in

  • Brenda Block

I have used Fantastik as a stain remover for years and it works great!! There are very few things it won’t get out and works wonders on childrens clothes!

  • Marilyn Jaimes

I love anything that has oxy and leaves my clothes clean. I also love Downey to soften my clothes. I still havent tried the dryer bar yet but it is on my list.

  • http://momsloveshopping.com Chele

I adore Bounce dryer sheets. Not only to they soften and prevent static cling in the laundry, but they are great for “air fresheners”. I like putting them in suitcases, under the seats in the cars, and in the linen closet to keep everything smelling pleasant and freshly cleaned. They are also effective scrubbers for removing soap scum in the shower and dishes with dried, burnt food that usually require soaking or tons of scrubbing.

  • stephanie

I love the purex 3 in 1 sheets!!! Make laundry time with 3 kiddos much easier!

  • Liz

  • Lori

I love Tide Cold Water for HE, even my normally hot water white towels come out clean.

  • http://www.cookielee.biz/nicolleirving Nicolle

I am a mother of four — it is needless to say that I do NOT have time to iron! Let me tell you that I cannot live without BOUNCE dryer sheets. I am an OG “Fluffer”, and everybody in my house knows I refuse to iron. I simply put my wrinkled clothes in for a fluff, with the added removal of static cling. Nothing is better!!!

  • Allison

My favorite product is Shout stain stick – I keep one in my closet and immediately “stain stick” spots before putting the item in the laundry basket. The clothes don’t need to be washed right away, so I don’t have to worry about doing an impromptu load of laundry and know my stains will come out when I do get to the laundry.

  • Anna

I have always loved Stain Stick – it is one of the best “go-to guys” when I have stains or ground-in messes on clothes. Also, liquid dishwashing hand soap (like Dawn, Palmolive, etc.) is GREAT for those mysterious oily spots that show up on clothes after they have gone through the wash and dryer – just squeeze a tiny bit of the soap directly onto the oil spot and put it through your laundry cycle again. Makes them disappear!

  • Cathy

I like anything clear and free! Having a family with sensitive skin and asthma, anything free of dye and perfumes is a necessity.

  • Jocelyn

I use Wisk or Arm & Hammer Sensitive.

Occasionally I will use white vinegar and salt but only if I am not recycling the wash and rinse water outside. My laundry room in upstairs so I connect a garden hose to the drain tube from the washer and drop the hose out the window to water my backyard grass and vegetable garden.

  • DENISE

  • Gail

I love the original Downy. That april fresh smell is just wonderful.

  • Aimee

I love Soapnuts and the Shout Color Catchers sheets.

  • Bobbi

I just love OxiClean powder — the most economical way to buy it — you mix it up yourself with water for carpet and furniture fabric stains — but it is AMAZING when added to your normal laundry loads. I do admit that I still need (and use) Shout for the tougher stains: it is the best!

  • Doc Poteet

Tide works the best for me

  • http://homeschoolblogger.com/deut67family/ Lisa M

  • Cheryl

I, too, am a die-hard Tide user, although I’ve been toying with Switching to Wisk, based on some recent blog “marketing” Tide was the only thing to keep baby clothes clean, and now that we’re on to football, I’m still a fan. Also, Spray and Wash – and I’ve recently become a Borax fan.

  • Natalie

I love all the Tide products. I find that with our country water, a lot of detergents leave a “sour” smell no matter how fast I move them from the washer to the dryer. But Tide clothes always smell fresh!

  • Mary

My favorite laundry care product is All Free and Clear. It is gentle and I have sensitive skin!

I love everything OXY! My men are dirt bike riders and believe me their riding clothes would not come out clean without OXY products, I also love the Shout Color Catcher, it always amazes me how much color is loose in my washer. I just wish they could make a product that would keep clothing from fading all together.

  • Kelley

Mine has to be the Resolve Spray N Wash stain remover. I wash the grill towels, aprons and bar towels at home that we use in the commercial kitchen where I work. Bleaching the aprons is not an option as they are blue, red and green. This product has removed the grease (some of it black due to the grill cleaning) that other products barely budged. I also soak the towels in a solution of hot water and Resolve Spray N Wash, and it really gets the job done. A LOT easier on the hands, too, than using degreaser. And yes, I use the product on my family’s laundry as well.

  • LorriB

I like Tide with Febreeze and Downy fabric softner. They make my families clothes look & feel wonderful.

  • Stephanie L

My favorite laundry care product is tide 7 signs detergent. Clothes that I have been washing without it prior to the product and the colors would look grayish by the 8th or more wash. Now that I use the 7 signs detergent I can keep the color of work and play clothes like the day I bought them.

  • lajek

Oxy-Clean is beyond a doubt the best stain remover, pre-treat, soaking agent and wash booster ever! I use it in all these ways & haven’t ever used anything better in any of these categories.

  • Melanie Keogh

My favorite is Downy. As an Art Teacher at the Boys & Girls Club, I take home all the “art t-shirts” weekly and wash them using Downy. The first thing the kids do is smell the shirts and say how great they smell. The best part is it lasts all week.

  • HEather

I love arm and hammer detergent with oxiclean. I don’t have to add anything extra.

  • http://ureadmorebooks.blogspot.com Lauren Monsey Nagel

I like arm & hammer. I’m still looking for a good stain buster, although hydrogen peroxide out of my medicine cabinet has been working good for some things and it’s relatively cheap.

  • Vicky

I use and will always be a Tide Woman who has a Tidy family!

  • bonnerherd

I like the Arm & Hammer liquid laundry detergent. It works very well, and is less expensive than many other brands.

  • Traci

Borax is an amazing, amazing product. Not only can you sprinkle it on any spill (think fruit punch on white carpets) but it lifts it right out! It works in the laundry, on carpets, furniture, AND you can mix it with other things to make multi-purpose powerhouse cleaning supplies that are earth friendly.

  • Laura D

Soap nuts! I know they’re kind of weird, but they work really well for us and I love that they’re biodegradable. In the dryer, I like the Bounce dryer bar that you just stick on the side. It does everything and makes my laundry routine so much easier!

  • Lilly

I love the new Tide with the extra stain breaking agents. Its great that it doesn’t have bleach that can fade clothes colors out. But when it comes to baby laundry I am a BIG fan of Dreft, it leaves the babies laundry smelling so clean and nice.

  • http://www.frugalstepmom.com alyssa

I like the Bounce Dryer Bar.

  • Karen Woodby

All my favorites….especially the scented fabric softener….Laundry is my most pleasant chore. My husband has a picture of me sleeping under a pile of towels I just took out of the dryer to fold. I sat down on the couch and pulled one up to my nose to smell and, under the warmness of it all, I fell asleep.

  • JenniferM

My favorite is downy liquid fabric softener. I love how it make my clothes smell!

  • Telal

  • maelynn

I like the big dispensers of All Free detergent. It works and I never have to worry about it irritating anyone in my family with the perfumes or dyes.

  • Emily

Seventh Generation Free and Clear! It combines my tendency toward eco-friendly products, my preference to support companies that aren’t giant, and my sensitive skin’s outright demand for clothoes that are free of fragrance. (Not to mention that it’s available in the most convenient of places, Alice included.)

  • Charlene

  • Belinda Scott

My favorite laundry detergent is Liquid Tide with Bleach Alternative. However, it has gotten so high in price that I have used Purex occassionally lately. When budgeting money is very tight. However, I also love the Tide Stain Release packets. Will not do laundry without them. Tide cleans the best, smells the best, and no one has any allergic reactions to it. I use the downy bar in my dryer which I prefer over the liquid and/or the sheets. Tide just cannot be beat! Sure hope prices come down in the near future.

  • Andrea

I grew up on Tide… but switched to All about 6 years ago. I love the 2X concentrate. I have tried the 3X concentrate (which works the same,) but it is hard to get the last bit out of the cup since it is SO thick. I think it works great and it the smell is not overpowering at all. I can’t understand why all brands don’t concentrate their liquid. So much less waste and it takes up less room. A win/win!

  • Susan

Love good old fashioned clorox bleech for my whites!

OxiClean Max Force Liqui Gel–Oh my gosh! This stuff has been a lifesaver–or should I say, a clothing saver. I was ready to ditch 2 of my 5 year old daughter’s shirts, because she had gotten ice cream and chocolate syrup on them, and rather than let me know, she crumpled them up and hid them in the bottom of her hamper. I washed them with detergent alone, and the stains were still there. I washed them again with the OxiClean Max Force LiquiGel, and the stains are GONE. It works great on all of our laundry, and I especially love how it keeps my daughter’s LIGHT BLUE school uniform stain-free!

  • Robin Catalano

I’ve gone all-natural with my laundry products, and have found that Vaska and Method clean even better than the traditional brands. They’re also gentler on my clothes, don’t cause as much fading, and smell great (Vaska lavender and Method peony are especially nice on freshly washed bed sheets!). For dryer sheets, I like Sun and Earth — they minimize static cling without getting oily chemicals (or worse — animal fats) on my clothes, and best of all, they’re completely biodegradable.

  • Georgianne

I love powder Tide. Of everything that I’ve tried, it seems to do the best at cleaning and deodorizing my laundry. I am quite fond of the Bounce dryer bar. It’s very convenient and helps make my clothes springtime fresh! For some reason, I don’t really like touching the Bounce dryer sheets. It’s akin to the nail scratching on the chalkboard to me! lol

  • Jennifer Esposito

My favorite laundry product is the Bounce dryer bar. I love that thing! My favorite detergent is Tide, but I haven’t found yet a favorite stain remover because none of them can remove the cooking oil that I always seem to splatter on my clothes.

  • Angie

I love Gains Apple Mango Tango Laundry Soap and Fabric Softener!!

  • Beth M.

I definitely prefer organic or natural laundry detergents. Method’s packaging is great, I love the small pump bottle that takes up very little room in my laundry area. I love the smell of Seventh Generation laundry detergent. If I have to do Tide or All I definitely go with the Free and Clear versions.

  • Jeff

I am a diehard Tide fan. Like the powder better than the liquid. It costs more than other detergents (except/and even when it’s on sale) but, hey, you get what you pay for. It’s worth it for my clothes and me!

  • Westcoastmom

I love the dropps product, it’s 6x concentrate reduces the amount of packaging that is needed. It comes in unscented or scented which is very mild I don’t get rashes from it and I have sensitive skin. The little packets look like mini pillows all you do is throw them into your washer and they disintegrate , they work fine in cold water as well. And when you finish the pakage you fold it up and recycle it.

My favorite laundry product is Arm & Hammer Fabric Softener sheets. The Lavender scent is awesome and lasts such a long time on the clothes! I even leave them in my drawers instead of spending money on scented liners.

  • Terese

I like Cheer Bright and Wisk Spectrum; for regular laundry I use a combination of soap flakes, washing soda, and Borax.

  • Rebecca R

I only use Tide HC in my family’s wash! My military uniform always smells fresh and very clean using the Tide product line.

  • Kerri

I love Downy because of the smell and how soft it makes our clothes.

  • Carol

I like Tide with Downey or Fabreeze HE. Compliments from friends on our fresh smelling clothes!!

  • Jackie

I love Downy fabric softener. It’s the only one that gets my clothes smelling really fresh and staying soft.

  • Marion

I love Gain the detergent and fabric softner. The smell is so fresh and when the fabric softner ball opens during the rinse cycle, my whole house smells good.

  • Amber

I have children who show hogs in 4-h and have to wear white jeans, I use tide & oxy clean to get them back to whites after a day of showing.

  • elizabeth baur

I love Gain because it leaves my clothes smelling great!

  • Laura

I really like the smell of ALL and it makes my clothes clean.

  • http://www.newsomecreative.net De

I am in love with Purex 3-in-1! So simple.
I’ve also used the Bounce Dryer Bar. I loved it also. One less step makes me a happy mommy!

  • Robert Decker

We love the smell aswell as the softness we get from downey.

  • http://spaklogix.com Kendra

I love Downy Lavender liquid softener! I use All Free & Clear so that my clothes all smell like Lavender. It’s wonderful!

  • http://sanantoniostanleys.blogspot.com/ Emily

Hands down, Gain laundry detergent is our favorite!

  • http://mypursuitof.blogspot.com Robin

My hands down – must have – laundry product is ZOUT stain treater. I’m so glad Alice sells it.

  • Meghan L

Oxyclean. I have been making it into a paste and using it to remove stains on white shirts. Works great.

  • Kathy

I love Shout! We have seven children from 11 to 1 and five are boys! You can imagine the amount of laundry we do a week. (Two loads a day minimum! That doesn’t include sheets from 7 beds each week!) My favorite detergent is Purex free and clear. All my munchkins are sensitive and it is very well priced for the bottle size.

  • http://AskAlice.com Kate Hoppe

    Tide’s the best.

  • Janin

I like Cheer Free because it protects colors and doesn’t contain added dyes and perfumes, which is great for kids and babies!

  • http://AskAlice.com Kate Hoppe

    Go Tide, go.

  • JY

I haven’t found the perfect laundry detergent yet. I need something gentle for my children’s clothes that will get out stains and oil and something really tough for my husbands dirty, grease covered clothes. I am going to look through the comments to get new ideas on different products…

  • Kasey Steele

I love my oxyclean for my son’s baseball pants. Nothing else can get them white.

  • Tanya N

    I love Purex 3-in-1 sheets!

  • Karen

Purex 3-in-1 sheets. Great for my college student daughter. It is not messy and convenient!

  • Cd Wilkins

Oh it’s gotta be Gain…removes the stains. And it is the only thing I shampoo my carpet with. And I cannot for get that baked on bacon grease. You know the cooked on brown hard to get off crust. Well… soaked in Gain removes that stained crusty stuff.
Sniff Sniff Wash It All Away!!!

And the Gain Dryer Sheets in you dresser draws, cracks of couches, closets, car, rub on you hair to remove the static. Imagine!

  • William L Nist

The powder that I buy at Costco (Kirkland) is as good as Tide!

  • Tina

I love Downy!!! I’ve tried other softeners, but Downy april fresh is the only one for me. I have used the lighter colored softeners of Downy, for my whites, only because they don’t stain my whites. My EX-HUSBAND still compliments how his laundry would smell when he went to work…

  • Susan Coon

My favorite is Shout. I use it on all of my stains. I put it on the stains immediately, and the stains come out completely.

  • neva

I love GOOP hand cleaner. It takes oily greasy stains (even the old, set-in ones) right out of clothes. You can get it in the automotive section in a white tub. Just don’t rub vigorously into dark fabric, it could lift the color a little, but smearing it into the stain before washing works great. I also love the Bounce Dryer Bar. My dryer tends to eat the fabric softener sheets and that accumulates lint and the dryer and that makes the dryer shake and make a horrible noise. The dryer bar works fantastic, nice and soft and no more service calls!

  • LisaP

Woolite Dark (it really REALLY works to keep darks from fading) and Snuggle dryer sheets.

I like my laundry to smell like laundry (my favorite Snuggle is the wild orchid and vanilla fragrance). I’ve been known to use multiple sheets per dryer-ful, and I always tuck a new fabric softener sheet under the head of my fitted sheet when I put clean bedding on… smells yummy until I wash again!

  • Jennifer

I like to use Tide or Purex. I also think Shout Color Catcher sheets are great! I used to call them the ‘college kids lifesaver’. When doing laundry for just one person, you don’t always have a full load of darks or colors but you combine and toss one of those in and you are good to go!

  • marci

shout stain remover paired with an old toothbrush. it gets out everything my family gets on their clothes – spit up, grass stains, oil stains, tomato, even wine. it’s great.

  • cheryl ritchie

I use Purex 3 in one sheets because it save on money, So I do not have to buy softener or whiten products. Although I still buy Downy for the dryer because I love the fresh scents they have and I love the smell they leave on your clothes. Purex is great I just love a lot of good smells, My husband says everyone who comes in contact with him at work say he smells so nice and fresh and clean.

  • TJ

Anything free and clear (no scent, that is!) because of my daughter’s sensitive skin. And must be liquid (do they even make power detergents anymore?). Bounce dryer sheets are the best!

  • SheilaD

Tide and Downy, and for stains and tough odors, good old baking soda added to the wash!

  • Wendy B

    Hands down TIDE!!! Always TIDE!

  • Paul

My favorite product is bounce 4 in 1 sheets. They make my clothes smell nice, feel softer, and they help get rid of lint in the dryer. Wouldn’t use any other dryer product.

Oh, also Tide to go pens are pretty awesome as well.

  • Josephine

I really like Seventh Generation. Smells good and it’s biodegradable!

  • Mary

I love the smell of gain & use it on all the clothes except, my work clothes(grease) I use Tide & the new Tide stain remover.

  • CC

Tide is teh best…also Bounce fabric softener sheets-keep in the sports bag to remove funky odors!

  • Andrea

I love tide free because after my med-student friend had me convinced I had shingles it’s the only detergent I use! My mom has used tide free for years and always used it with my clothes. Once I tried tide mountain fresh and it gave me the hurrendous shingles like rash!

  • joelle

purex 3 in 1 sheets are brilliant. they save me a lot of time and money!

  • MBJ

    Tide Original Scent!

  • Anne

My favorites are Method Fresh Air laundry detergent and dryer sheets, although I do also love to use Mrs. Meyer’s lavender dryer sheets.

  • http://AOL Eleanor Dunn

    Tide definitely!!

  • Jasmine

    We really love Greenworks :)

  • http://www.homeinteriors.com/scowan Sherry C

My favorite stain remover is ZOUT… the spray on is great but it also comes in a small tube applicator too… just hard to find in stores.

  • Rhonda

I love the laundry products from Quixtar (Amway). Great quality, low cost per use.

  • Chris

Tide and Downy for me, for tough stains I prefer Shout.

  • Karen

I have used Tide HE for years. I always return to Tide and Downy. To me they do the best job. My whites are not dingy and I use Clorox all the time.

  • Liz

I LOVE the Scent of Downy! My mom always used it on my clothes and now as an adult I use it too. The scent reminds me of home anytime I get a whiff of it!

  • vicki timmerman

i love tide for my laundry and to clean carpeting in my house leaves everything smelling fresh

  • Colleen Stadnick

I like All Small & Mighty because I don’t have to use much- probably about 1/3 of what I would use with other products.

  • Arwen

I like Shout spray stain remover. It does the job without a lot of scrubbing!

  • Melanie Whitmire

One of my biggest pet peeves is smelling like detergent. Some people I know always smell like their detergent and when they come to my house, they make my house smell like detergent. I prefer laundry soap that doesn’t have a scent. That way, I can smell like my perfume instead of laundry!

  • Vanessa

I love the Bounce Dryer Bars! We forget the dryer sheets so much then our clothes are always staticy. With the dryer bars we don’t have to remember to change it out except every couple of months!

  • Wendy

I love Tide and Downey….I just wish I could afford to buy them =)

  • Stephanie

My favorite laundry care product is OxyClean. I like the extra boost it gives.

  • BB

I love Snuggle and Tide. Two wonderful products that clean and smell great!

  • Lisa V

  • Sara Lang

I love Tide, it works so well and is affordable.

  • Jeanette Craig

I love Tide and Downy fabric sheete!!!

  • T. Schroeder

“Must Have” my favorite laundry products: 1. Tide High Performance Wash Bags, love them! 2. I’m also digging the new “In-Wash Booster”.

  • mary ortiz

I use Gain detergent and Bounce dryer sheets. I used to use Downy but it has become to expensive to use so I stopped using. I use the outdoor fresh scent and leaves my clothes smelling for at least 2 weeks and I just love that. I also use Gain dishwash liquid to try it out.

  • http://www.catinanapron.com marne

DOWNY WRINKLE RELEASE! no more re-drying or rewashing clothes because they are too wrinkled. just a few sprays and things are nice and wrinkle free!

  • Lydia

Bounce dryer sheets are my favorite!

  • AliceH

I love Tide – just the regular stuff. Always does a great job.

  • ivy

Gain detergent is my favorite!! :)

  • martha jones

My very favorite laundry product is theBounce Dryer Bar Fabric Softener. Takes away the need to remember to add a liquid softener or a sheet and has a wonderful fragrance.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!

  • Tiara

My faves are Dreft and Tide, plus Downy fabric softener

  • http://bblinks.blogspot.com bb

I’ve fallen in love with Woolite’s new laundry detergent for general use (not just fine washables).

  • Amy

My faves are rockin green & arm & hammer free!

  • Diane

I love Tide–It gets everything including my kitchen floor as clean as possible!

  • Linda White

Sun because its cheap and works!

  • Bobbie Huddleston

Well I love the smell of original Gain and then like to use spray and wash for stains. Lately I have been using the new tide fabric softener bar, like it pretty well, and you don’t have random dryer sheets pop out of your clothes :)

  • Jacqueline Thoennes

I use Tide liquid for my laundry. I’ve tried the cheaper detergents and nothing cleans better than Tide. I use it directly on stains and put the rest in the wash. I also like Bounce sheets for the dryer. I love the smell. There’s times I use Downy liquid and I like how it softens the clothes and leaves a fresh clean scent.

  • Melody

I love products that do what they say and have always found that Shout works very well.

  • Amy

I love shout to get out stains, Tide Free and Clear on Clothes and Bounce free and clear dryer sheets!

  • erica

I love anything with febreeze, spring and renewal sent. liquid tide with febreeze, downy with febreeze…you get the idea.

  • Dawn

We use All detergent because it gets our clothes really clean and it is inexpensive. We like liquid softeners and often use Downy.

  • Angie Robinson

I have been trying differnt brands…usually whatever I have a coupon for. Tide and downy are good, but usually more expensive than the others. Purex 3 in 1 works well and seems cost effective. I have tried All small and Mighty and also Arm and Hammer. I just want clean clothes, not necessarily the lingering scents. My hubby does not like the lilac scents at all. :)

  • Lolly

    Purex 3-in-1
    A life saver!

  • Debra Francis

    I like TIDE.

  • JT Keriotis

Really like Purex’s new, 3 in 1 product for convenience! Works well in cleaning all my laundry (you can rub the sheet on stains to pre-treat!) and leaves everything soft, static free and fresh as can be without me having to remember anything or race to catch cycles! LOVE IT!

  • Shae Evans

I really liked Spray N Wash’s Dual Power formula. It took care of everything! Unfortunately, they don’t make it anymore. I’m still searching for the perfect stain remover.

  • RC Hodson

    All Free & Clear :-)

  • Linda

I love the new bounce dryer bar.

  • https://www.mistersteamy.com/ Mr Steamy

Good advice on how to launder clothes. By separating delicates from cotton articles such as blue jeans, color dyes won’t bleed into delicate fabrics during a wash cycle. Thanks for the post.

  • Linda A

    tide is my favorite

  • http://twitter.com/LT38 LeAndrew W. Taylor

Another vote for ‘Spray N Wash’s Dual Power Formula’!

    Very effective product!

Thanks for the chance to WIN and GOOD LUCK to ALL!

I am not extra picky with laundry products, but I do really like to use Victoria’s Secret laundry detergent on items that are hand washed. It smells great!

  • Michelle

Tide with Bleach is the best laundry detergent (Consumer Reports agrees!). I love the Bounce Bar in the dryer – removes one step from doing the laundry!

  • Sharon

I like any detergent company with the foresight to offer an unscented verison of their product. So thank you, Tide. Why don’t you let the folks at your sister P&G companies that sell hair and skin care how popular unscented products are and how much more money they would make by hopping on the non-smelly bandwagon?

  • Elaine

Tide products! It’s what I grew up with, and it’s what I use now. (:

  • Kristen

The bounce dryer bar! I just place it and forget it!

  • http://condo-blues.blogspot.com Condo Blues

  • Mindy

Drops or Purex 3 in 1′s. I prefer the pure and free versions.

  • Batshua

Tide, and I can give an empirical reason why!

In my elementary school, in addition to doing regular science fairs, we did consumer science fairs. My experiment was to try a number of mainstream brand detergents on lipstick, grass, and mud stains. Tide did the best job by far. I’m sure that since then, other companies have been working their butts off to be the next great detergent, but I’ve never been disappointed by Tide.

  • Debra

I like Arm and Hammer unscented, hypo-allergenic laundry detergent.

  • Trin

I have to admit I’m totally in love with the
Bounce Dryer Bar. Easy peasy, my kind of product.

Hmm, that’s a hard one. Lately, it’s been a combination of Tide TotalCare and the orchid scent Downy. Something about Downy always smells nice, makes the clothes soft, and never irritates my skin. With my hard water, the TotalCare seems to stave off the rust stains for the time being.

We still want the static out of our clothing and these odor free sheets work amazingly on getting rid of the static cling and still make our clothes and towels soft and fresh. I will always use this product and I always suggest it to people with sensitive noses.

  • Angelia Evans

There are so many products I really enjoy and use in my care routine, but I would have to say my favorite is Tide stain release. This has helped me in so many ways. We have 2 puppies and at time our clothes when the puppies decide to jump up on us right after they have been outside are a MESS!!! There has been times when we have work/dress clothes on and the the little angels decide to greet us when we get home or before we leave and we know that some of those stains are NEVER coming out. Tide stain release has come through for us EVERYTIME!! I also watched my nephew for a while, and it really helped with stain on clothes from him. Great product all around. I would like to win the contest, but I feel like I am already a winner with this product. Thank you!! :)

  • Reba

I love the Arm and Hammer detergent booster. It works well as a regular detergent when combined with Borax and low sudsing too!

  • Patricia Self

For years, I wouldn’t use Tide because an Amway demonstration showed how much soap was left in the clothes after use. Then, I read that the product put electrolytes into the earth (or something like that). But most of my friends seemed to be using Tide, and their whites weren’t grey… So, I’m a Tide user and I love the Downy softener that smells like lavender. I’m going to try one of those Tide bars that goes inside the dryer to see if they work, too. Do any of the bathroom cleaners smell nice? I just can’t stand that odor that lingers when I use one of the regular cleaners, so I’ve begun using my kitchen cleaner (it’s organic, and I can’t remember the name; it’s a clear liquid) in the bathroom. I’m happy, and I think it’s still getting very clean in there!

  • Rebecca

  • jen m w

the laundry product i cant live without is the tide stick – with 2 little boys, i “get” to use it every day!

  • bree

I volunteer for a shelter & they are in great need of laundry detergent. TIDE would be wonderful since most of the time the detergent used/donated is an off brand which gets the job done, but with TIDE they could get extra clean!

  • Jennifer

  • Nancy

Tide HE is the only way to wash!

Zout. It gets out even set-in stains like oil like magic. It’s the only stain remover I will use anymore.

  • Jenni

I love to make my own detergent from a Fels-Naptha bar, washing soda, and Borax. Add a bunch of water and you have 5 gallons (actually 10 when you add water to it after it gels) for only $3-$4 for that whole 10 gallons (not counting how much the water costs. It’s dye-free, fragrance-free, and practically free to make! It takes a long time to use all that detergent, so I often give some to friends!

  • Bianca

  • ky2here

Anything ‘Gain’. I love the smell and will pay extra for this specific line of products.

  • Judith Cross

I love all the products that have no scents because there are members of our family who are sensitive to these due to excema and other skin sensitivities. Also, if you use any type of scent yourself, a lot of the scents in the laundry products clash with your chosen cologne or perfume.

  • teresa

All Free and Clear does it for me.

I love Downy Simple Pleasures fabric softener and shout to, what would we do without shout …love clean smelling sheets right off the line.

  • Janice White

I love Tide with Febreeze. My husband has sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate his skin. It gets out all of the stains he gets into — grease, grass, food, etc. The Febreeze also gets the smells out — sweat, exhaust (his hobby is working on cars), and whatever he gets into during the day.

  • http://www.shootingstarsmag.blogspot.com ShootingStarsMag

shout stain remover is always a good thing to have on hand.

  • Linda Stell

With a large family we have all taken on our own laundry so there are many different opinions. We go from everything sorted by color and fabric, me, to everything in at once, the 11 year old. I try to keep a group of products that will work for everybody. Tide Total care is allways in the laundry room along with my natural dryer balls. I like to stay as natural as possible so we do have outside lines for drying in good weather. They do like the “crunchy” towels during the summer, but nothing makes the kids more happy then being buried in the hot towels from the dryer in the winter.

  • Wendy Fort

I use ALL Liquid Free & Clear for all my laundry. It’s gentle on my daughter’s sensitive skin, and it works for even delicates and baby clothes. I use Zout to treat and stains, and I love 40 Mule Team Borax. I add it to any load that needs a little extra freshening or a boost to the detergent. (Actually, 40 Mule Team is my “go to for anything” cleaning product, along with baking soda.)

  • http://www.pamperedchef.biz/frazierqueen Holly Frazier

I only use liquid Tide and I love the Febreeze Sport Scent it works well to get out the stink. I also have to have Downy Simple Pleasures Lavender Serenity dryer sheets! I washed a blanket for my friend that I borrowed once and now she brings it to me to make it smell like that again!

  • One_two3456

I use Gain powdered Laundry Detergent. Gain smells great, and I don’t have any kids so I don’t run into stains much but I love all the varieties of scents they provide. I like powders because there is less long term damage to the washer and more efficient.

I love the new Bouce dryer bar, I don’t have to think about it for 4 whole months!

  • Dana Eckstrom

    Still a Downy Ball addict.

  • Kristen

    That’s actually a tough question!

I love the smell of the Gain with the Tropical Febreze or Tide Apple Mango Tango. But I’m a tide girl at heart. It’s what my mom used with m growing up.

Lately though with tough times and two girls (7 months and 2 1/2 Yrs) and DH’s PT gear AND cammies (USMC) AND regular clothes, etc we go through a lot of clothes! So I’ve started making my own with Borax, washing soda, and Ivory soap. I want to try Fels Naptha but can’t find it. And I didn’t like the smell of the Zote.

Fabric softener – For smell it’s the same as the detergent. But once again I’ve had to start making my own for finances. So vinegar has become my friend! Haha.

The dryer bounce bar seems pretty awesome though! And I’m curious about the all natural dryer ball. I’ll have to look into that.

*I’m also trying to start making my own dishwashing detergent and deodorant and lye soap (kind of scared about that one… Haha)

  • C. Grogan

Febreze Sport is my favorite laundry product because my husband and twin sons all play hockey. Hockey equipment cannot be washed. It can only be aired out. Applying Febreze Sport spray to hockey pants, shinguards and jockstraps actually eliminates that horrid “wet dog” smell that I thought that I would have to live with for the rest of my life. My husband takes one with him to use in the locker room and absolutely is enamored with this product.

  • April

  • http://www.maggiblair.com Donna Blair

My 5 1/2 year old is handicapped and has horrible skin irriations with adheisves and latex. We are so careful with laundry detergent because most anything can cause a rash or even a blister for her. The Bounty Fabric Softner and the Bounce Dryer Sheets have never caused any skin irritations for her. It is rare we find even baby soap to bathe her in that won’t break out her skin. We LOVE the way it smells in her clothes and we do a lot of hugging and kissing, so we are always close to her, as she can’t walk or crawl or talk.

  • Dani Tolin

I LOVE clean smelling laundry!! My favorite soap is Tide, which truly makes your clothes look fantastic, and Downy for that clean-smelling and soft laundry.

I could never chose just one or even a few of my favorite laundy care products, i suppose that’s becase i just love love love doing laundry… And i’m not looking for sympathy (but), i just moved into a new place and i have no washer or dryer and don’t for see being able to afford one for atleast three months… atleast.
I don’t don’t don’t love laundry mats! …even if it’s only two blocks from your new house, your clothes never feel the same as they do when you wash them at home. even IF you had to clean your Levi’s in the bathtub they still feel, smell and look way better than what you end up with when you’re done at the laundry mat.
(even though i’m not looking for that sympathy I am sure you ‘die-hards’ totally understand).

  • Aaron
