Swallowing a pill when you’re a young one (or sometimes, even when you’re an older one) is often terrifying. Will you choke? Will it get stuck? Ease your child’s racing heart with Spray n’ Swallow ($3 off coupon!). The spray makes it easy to swallow pills and it’s all natural.

Just spray on the pills you need to take, and Spray’n Swallow’s special formulation will help pills slide down the throat and mask the after taste of many medications. Such a simple and easy solution! The spray comes in both a cherry and a wintergreen flavor that help eliminate the bitter pill after-taste and each bottle contains approximately 600 sprays.

You’ll need these the next time you travel

Spring break is coming up, or maybe you’re just planning a trip to escape the Winter blues. Myself, I have a conference planned for next month. And I love traveling once I’m at the destination, but I get testy on the way there. It’s never the expected things like a baby crying on the plane, but the little things that get under my skin at the airport and in the air. These EarPlanes ear plugs are sure to help me tune a lot of that out. They help relieve air cabin pressure discomfort and of course reduce noise.

EarPlanes are a soft, hypoallergenic latex-free silicone and are disposable once you arrive. No drugs and no ear pain. Arriving relaxed and rested? I could get used to that. (Oh, and they have EarPlanes for Kids too.)

What about you? What are your travel secrets? How do reduce the stress?

Me, MyShelf & I: Nikki Wilde
This week we’re peeking into the medicine cabinet of one of our community members, Nikki. In her own words:

As you can see from my medicine cabinet I may have a slight phobia about smells. I have lots of perfume and deodorants that ensure that I’ll smell something good during the day. To me those items are the essentials.

I have a top row full of facial cleansers, toners, and moisturizers. Mostly Shiseido which is my favorite go to facial regimen.

I’m definitely not organized. I throw as much stuff as I can in there that’ll fit.

You can find me on Alice.com as NikkisWild.

Me My Shelf & I: Conversation Agent

This week we’re peeking into the gorgeous medicine cabinet of Valeria Maltoni of the popular Conversation Agent. Valeria reports that many of her beauty products are “Made in Italy,” and she purchases them from her home town. We just wish we could be this organized. Thanks for sharing Valeria!

Me, MyShelf & I: Lori from Hooray for Freebates

This week we’re featuring Lori of the popular Hooray for Freebates! blog. In her own words:

I’m an organizer, a list maker, a sorter. Everything has its place. The Container Store and Franklin Covey were invented for people like me.  So that explains my master bathroom closet (above). All my products are sorted.  Top shelf is towels.  The big white bin on the next shelf has my blow dryer, brushes and other hair stuff.  The 3 green bins have make up, headbands etc, and other beauty tools. The bottom shelf bins are sorted into hair treatments, facial treatments, and perfumes. As you can see my hubs has his small front corner of colognes & mouthwash etc.

If something on these shelves is out of place it drives me nuts and I have to immediately fix it! It is actually in need of a sorting/reorg right now (there’s some facial stuff in with the hair stuff, oh my!).

Which makes me wonder about the next picture (above). We are renovating our bathroom (thus the naked stud to the right of the pic, and no I don’t mean my husband) and don’t have shelves installed in the closet yet.  So it’s all stacked up on the floor. It’s hard to tell from the pic angle but this pile goes up to about my mid thigh. It is a mess but still is sort of organized (yeah right you say!).

Paper towels & toilet paper are stacked on the bottom b/c they’re big.  The striped bag has open medicines (tylenol, band aids, sudafed etc). The plastic bags are freebates I got but we haven’t used yet. As you can figure, we don’t go in there too much! I cannot wait for my shelves to be installed, as you can probably guess this is driving me nuts!

My, MyShelf & I: Maggie Mason

This week, we peeked into the medicine cabinet of Maggie Mason, the founder of the popular shopping and design blog Mighty Goods. Her personal blog is Mighty Girl. In her own words:

I have problematic teeth. When I go to the dentist, which I do every few minutes, they look at me like I’ve been sleeping with hard candy in my mouth, and waking to a hearty breakfast of dried apricots dipped in marshmallow fluff.

So many hygienists have given me flossing demonstrations that I’ve begun to carry a photo of our medicine cabinet in my wallet.

That’s eleven containers of floss, y’all, not counting the two in my nightstand drawer and the one I keep in my dopp kit. So you see, I’ve become “vigilant” about this issue. I’m the f*%^ing Rainman of flossing.

Me, MyShelf & I: Reader Jill DeRosa

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

This week we’re peeking into the medicine cabinet of one of our readers, Jill. Check out what she’s got:

And she snuck a shot of her husband’s cabinet too!

Thanks for letting us peek, Jill! Next week, we’ll open the doors on Audrey McClelland, co-founder of Mom Generations.

Do you have separate cabinets for husband and wife?

And is anyone else noticing a distinct color difference in the products for men (oranges, grays, blacks), and women (light blue, purples, bright green)?
